About Us
After graduating with an EE degree from Penn State, Bill Happersett served as a Navy pilot before entering a career as an electronics engineer in the Aerospace industry. His interest later led to co-founding and serving as President of Solar Energy Sales, Inc., headquartered in Walnut Creek, CA, which became one of the largest solar contracting firms in the U.S., with annual sales of $15M and 360 employees in 10 offices by 1980. He then formed a subsidiary, Pyramid Controls, in order to design and produce a private-label temperature controller for the company. In 1984 he designed and marketed the WINE-STAT, a controller for use with a spare refrigerator for the proper storage of fine wine, employing a unique bottle-probe sensor. This product has proven to be very well received by wine lovers and collectors. This led Bill to form his own company, BH Enterprises, allowing him to consult and design temperature controllers for various industry customers and applications, including one manufacturer for whom BH produced over 36,000 units. Since 2011 we have offered our UNI-STAT and the UNI-STAT IIIa controls. These have been well received by a growing market of home brewers of both beer and wine, requiring precision temperature control in the brewing process; as well as other universal applications with similar temperature control requirements.
We are proud to offer controllers both designed and produced in the U.S.A., and offer multi-year warranties on these fine products. We welcome your comments or questions. Call toll-free at 800-973-9707. Dealer inquiries are also welcome, as our exclusive dealer network is growing.
